…if, in my experience, any of this applies to it:
▪️ One source of candidates.
For example: posting a job-ad and waiting for people to apply. If you’re not a well-known company, or have built a strong enough employer brand, you will most likely not get many (qualified) applicants. And the reality is that your next hire is probably not even out there applying for jobs.
▪️ Lack of flexibility.
Being too rigid in your requirements, expectations, or offer. The best hires are often found when you’re open to rethinking what “right” actually looks like. If you’re only looking for a 100% perfect match, you’ll likely miss the right one.
▪️ Slow or unclear process with poor communication.
If your top candidate is even on the market they’ll move fast, and they’ll expect the same from you. If they are not on the market on the other hand, but you’ve managed to catch their interest, your recruitment process is their first impression of your organisation, the team, you. What is your process telling them about their potential next employer?
I’m curious to hear more perspectives here. In your experience, what is the most common reason for why recruitment processes fail?
Your recruitment process is most likely unsuccessful
